EGR vacuum hose loose
Hey EvoM,
I'm facing a very strange dilemma. So first off my car has been tuned many times over 3 years and recently (2 months ago) never had any problems or CEL/SES lights within the last year+. Well my problem is that i reached around the intake mani just checking all my hoses and found this hose (circled in green) loose. But when i proceed to plug it in, my car idles and wants to stall out. when i remove it, my car drives perfect again. I have no idea if i was tuned with it off or not, but as of now I'm leaving it off because it drives like having cams with no tune when i plug it back in. Any idea of why this EGR hose affects my car like it does when plugged in? And what should i do, leave it off?

It idles that way because the egr is now working, pumping exhaust gas into the intake like its designed. Plug it in and pull the battery cable and reset the ecu. Then with any luck it will relearn and adjust for the egr. If your running the tephra mod flash, it keeps the check engine lights off that portion is being used.

Edit:I forgot to mention that i had an EGR flow insufficient light when it popped off.
Update:
okay so i reset it again, drove around the city and bared with it idling like crap, but than put a solid 30 miles cruising on the highway and when i got back to the city it seems to have fixed itself! it skips a beat here and there, but all within 900-1100 rpms so i think its fine again

final update, car drove crappy here and there with the hose on, esp on start up it would struggle for some odd reason. At WOT it felt like it was choking and def not smooth. So i took off the hose, everythings perfect again, car drives like how it should. SES light went on for egr flow insufficiency but i got over it and pulled off the SES bulb, haha.
