Deleting them would be taking a step in the wrong direction. More HP = more heat. The jet of hot oil 'feels' like ice water to a piston running at WOT. Channeling heat away from the piston improves the detonation threshold under high loads and extended running, improves power potential, and improves both durability and long-term wear characteristics. This is race engine technology that filtered down to OEM applications.

Those squirters weren't so important for a 70hp/L NA 4G64, but definitely are for a 200+hp/L turbo engine. Anyone would be wise to install squirters in an engine with that much or more specific output if that engine wasn't originally equipped, and many do.

As you have read most everyone on here said to bend them and measure for clearance. I decided to delete them. The Wiseco pistons are forged and made to handle high heat, the factory pistons are not, therefore they used oil jets to cool the factory pistons. I found bolts with short threads, copper washers and lock tight and torqued them to the same spec as the oil jets. The motor has been running for a few years now on 25+ psi with no issues. Blocking them also provides more oil to more crucial parts of the motor.

Bend them to clear. Do not delete them.
