Hi I'm in a dilemma here...my Evo 9 is currently almost stock, only changed Intercooler and Radiator for better cooling in summer in Hong Kong.

I want to increase the bhp to around 350, yet I don't want to sacrifice the initial start up torque MIVEC offers. Is it possible to achieve 350bhp but keeping the original air intake set up?

350whp may be a lofty goal, given your environment and a desire for reliability. As you have a IX, opt for a MBC, a free-flow exhaust and a good tune. The latter will make or break your car. Literally. You can expect ~300-320whp on a MD, given the right weather.

350 is a nice round number and I'm sure there's a dyno in Florida ready to vest in such a claim.
