what happens when you have a stage one+ and you want to upgrade to your stage 2? does this require a new exhaust system, or do i have to dump all kinds of money into a whole new complete system. i was just wondering how far i can take your staged upgrades before i hit a brick wall.

Fair question. But drivetrain issues scare me from straying much farther from the 1+.

Evo8Master-- On our AWD DD dyno, we've made 440whp on our EVO with stock motor running our version of the 3037. That's about as much air as that turbo will flow. DD dynos do read much lower than Dynojets. Especially 2wd dynojets. This would be closer to 550whp on such a dyno. So yes, those hp goals are certainly attainable running race gas.

jj_008-- These turbo options can be used with an XEDE and/or XFlash. We'll have maps available for a number of different turbo, boost, octane options.

gnulooks-- To install the turbo kit in to a Stage 1, all you will have to do re-do the downpipe portion of the exhaust. Any muffler shop can do this for you for around $60.

Smogrunner-- As long as you're not doing any heavy launching, these transmissions are pretty stout!

Ok, nobody else has asked, so what will the prices be? Looks to be a good alternative to running a different manifold, but was this the actual package you tested to 440 WHP? I thought for some reason that you were using a tubular manifold, but I could be wrong.

By the way I talked to Ken on Friday and am looking forward to March 13th in Dallas! He said you were out sick so I hope you are feeling a bit better. I asked him about underdrive pulleys but he did not know the answer and I do not want to hijack this thread, so if you get a chance look under the Texas Vishnu day post on your forum if you get a chance. I guess we may have a few more questions for you when you come down now!

Tentitively under $3k for the 50 trim set up and under $4k for the GT turbo set up. This is just for the turbo, up-pipe, down-pipe, intake, oil/water lines, Tial wastegate, etc,. Engine management (injectors, pump, XEDE/XFlash, etc,.) not included.

Cheers,
shiv

Shiv,

It'd be nice if you offered a "shorty downpipe"(turbine discharge elbow) to meet with other downpipes all already on potential costumer's cars. Sure everyone may not have the same downpipe, but they all have 1 thing in common and that is they all meet up to the stock turbine discharge elbow. Knowing this you could have a "shorty downpipe"(turbine discharge elbow) with wastegate plummed back into this elbow that terminates from your staged turbo upgrades ie; 50 trim, 3037, GT, etc. to this location where the stock turbine discharge elbow meets the downpipe. I personally would not want to drive to a muffler shop to get one done. I risk the chance of getting a large fined ticket and making a prestine setup, which most Vishnu products are into a hack job combination from JoeSchmoe's Muffler. Not good IMO. The other option is for people to just get your downpipe, however you win more converts by making your kits easily attainable if it can bolt up to their existing downpipes. The only way I see it not being possible to make if your turbo upgrades sit down too low to make a good elbow to meet up with existing downpipes. But since you're suggesting people to go to a muffler shop and have one made it seems possible

What's the possibility of these kits being available prior to March 13th for the Texas tune?

Why go stage 1+ when you can go Stage 2?!?!
