Evo 6 radiator into an Evo 9 MR

Also an odd tech question. I dropped an Evo 6 radiator into my Evo 9 to replace the cracked plastic end tank. What radiator stays tabs can you use. The Evo 9 stays don't line up at all

I did this because the plastic end tanks either cracked or something. It's leaking so at the recommendation of a friend. I dropped an evo6 radiator and Evo 6 hoses. It dropped right in but the radiator stay tabs don't line up at all. What can be used to lock this thing down.

The 6 radiator places the upper hose away from the manifold.

Any ideas thoughts threats. Yadda yadda

This is strange. That's supposed to fit without issue.

What issue are you having with the mounting tabs specifically? Make sure the bottom tabs are lined up and installed with the OEM rubber supports from your old radiator.

If you post a pic of how it sits in the car that might help.

The radiator tabs are about one inch farther out than the rubber grommet holes. I put the oem ones on but they don't line up so its more like its just pressure fit in there. Guess ill just make some out of some metal and bend and drill. I just thought maybe I can get Evo 6 radiator stays and see if it works. It's a no name aluminum radiator I needed one stat so couldn't wait and hell it was way less anyway.
