Where did you get the bushings from boostedwrx? My second gear sucks right now, it will not go in above 6000 RPM unless I really pull it. I need to order the bushings, but I am also worried as to why it is so difficult. Are the syncro's just that bad? I may contact John Shepard about going through the tranny this summer once I have a bike to ride in the meantime. I will be going on vacation in July so I may have it done then.

I kept grinding 2nd gear when I first got the car. Then for along time I had the shift down with no grinds. Until I installed my short shift. Now I have to relearn to time my quick shifts.

I just changed my tranny fluid to GM Syncromesh. It did wonders for me. I don't have prolems going into first or reverse anymore and I use to get the crunch going into second, third and sometimes fourth. All gone now. Will change my gear oil in the transfer and rear diff to redline next.
