Hallman Pro Evolution RX
Thanks in advance for your help! I just received this manual boost controller. My single question is this:
Should I go ahead and install the heavy spring? The directions said that the light spring will go, I believe, 5 psi over stock. Has anyone made use of the heavy spring?
Again, thanks...

The wastgate spring on the EVO is between 12 and 14 psi, so using the small spring will get you a max boost of around 18 just like SuperchargedGTZ is getting. I would go with the heavy spring myself.

You can check your WG spring pressure by dialing the boost controller all the way down and seeing what boost you are getting. I would like to know the 411 on this as well

Hmmm, either you got a WG actuator that is way on the high side of normal stock, or they are being conservative by saying the light spring will only gain you 5 psi. How much adjustment do you have left on the controler?

Ok... I changed to the Heavy spring today.
I am still getting haveing my boost taper down from 19 psi, to 17-16psi by the time I hit 7K rpm
And now I am getting 24psi boost spikes at what seems to be completely random times >=(

That amount of taper seems excessive. I also have the Hallman MBC with the heavy spring installed. My boost tapers from 20 to 19. It would help to understand exactly how the MBC was plumbed. Does the MBC feed the wastegate actuator directly or was there some OEM plumbing left in place?
