FP Cast Race Manifold for the 4G63
#527
#528
This isn't much of an apples to apples comparison as there have been several significant changes to the car between these charts. This is the best comparison I could come up with. Both pulls were on straight 92 octane Chevron pump gas.
Before Cast FP manifold (this chart is a couple of years old):
After FP Cast Manifold install:
Changes to the car in between runs:
MAP open dump with external wastegate O2 housing (switched from an Invidia O2 housing)
Sparktech CDI COP kit (switched from OEM ignition)
FP Cast Manifold (switched from heavily ported OEM manifold)
Major mods are:
standard rod 2.4 block
ER ported head
S3 cams
Magnus cast intake manifold
FIC2150 injectors
ETS 4" intercooler and 2.5" IC pipes
BB FPBlack
ER SD tune
3" exhaust
I have both the internal wastegate and the external wastegate hooked up with only the external seeing signal from my controller (Hallman Pro). The combination does have a bit of a boost creep issue at lower boost levels. Unfortunately I had some technical challenges so we didn't get to complete an e85 pull like I had originally planned.

The back to back testing got delayed a lil bit.
We went to the dyno and did a couple pulls to check the tune and the clients Tial BOV's valve got loose and came off the BOV and got sucked in to the engine (We didnt build or install the BOV on this car). It made it to the head, but didnt damage anything except for the BOV valve a lil bit.
So testing will be in a couple weeks, as the client and I have the next couple weekends scheduled with other stuff (client works all week and can only dyno on weekend.)
Ill post an update to this thread when I can. Sorry guys. I really wanted to do the first back to back, FP mani as the only change dyno test.

Mine came in yesterday apparently I was customer # 60+ of 20 so I can better understand the delay now. It looks like a good solid piece and hopefully can get some back to back comparisons shortly.
