Comp 6262 or GTX3582

Sup guys. I don't own an evo... I wish I did haha. Anyways. You guys have helped me alot with my Cobalt SS. Very knowledgeable group of people.

My car is fully built, cams valve springs, all bolt ons etc. All the good stuff.
I had a 6758 EFR, it blew.

I got a 25g, never got it to work. Still gives me horrible compressor surge during WOT 4.5-5.5k rpm. Can't figure out why, I changed the spring and got a MBC. Nothing it's all the same. After 5.5k rpm it's good and flows 43 maf lbs min at 22 psi 91 octane. W/e not happy with it at all. I'm guessing turbo went out of balance. I had boost leaks and exhaust leak so I'm guessing that was the culprit that killed the 25g.

Anyways, my saying has always been. If the turbo has to come out, why not go bigger? So now I'm stuck between these two monster turbos.

I want to know what you think about each one. Pros and cons, I don't want to hear about $$ I already know the GTX is 1k more.

Comp turbo 6262 triple ball bearing turbo, Billet wheel, anti surge housing etc. All that good stuff. 1200$ brand new.

GTX3582R Billet wheel, ball bearing etc. $1500 brand new.

Please let me know what you guys think.

I would avoid Comp and either get the PTE DBB 6262 or the GTX 35R. Comp turbos are no good in my mind.

The GTX wheels do not flow wheel at high boost. I don't know where you plan to set the boost at but it is nothing like the borg wheels/precision wheels, GT wheels, ect at boost levels above 35psi. They just seem to fall on their face and not make more power up there(personal expirence). I would pick a properly size normal series borg warner or the precision DBB stuff.

Thank you. I'm looking for something at like 400-450whp on 91 as a DD. Maybe around 18-20psi or so. Then a e85/110 file and set it to 29-32 psi. Go for something 550-600whp if I can get enough fuel of course.
