okay so I can get redline although I was thinking Amsoil....

TRANSFER case- shockproof light? .58 Liters

Rear diff Redline 75 w/90 w half a bottle of friction modifyer....sound good ?

The exact fluid levels are in the back of your owners manual. The shockproof is in 3 different grades....1. heavy 2. Light 3. Extra light

Get the light. 75/90 NS in the rear....Make sure its NS. There is a difference. Use 4oz. of the friction modifier mixed with the qt. of diff fluid.
Then get 4 qts of Shockproof light for the x-fer case and tranny. It will take two people. Loads of fun....

75W90 doesn't need the friction modifier, 75W90NS does. You can use Lightweight Shockproof in the transfer case. I did for a little while on my car.

Maybe we're just reading what you said wrong, but Redline Shockproof doesn't come as 75w-90NS. That is one of the flavours of 'traditional' GL-5 gear lube.

Shockproof DOES come in the three types, and all are LSD compatible, so says Redline.

I guess how i read it is you suggesting purchase of a "Shockproof 75w-90NS" which isn't in the lineup.

Actually they're not very compatible with LSD's (unless you use the friction modifier). Technically they are LSD compatible, but they're designed more with the racing diff in mind.

I ran lightweight in my rear diff and it popped and chattered in low speed, tight turning situations. If you're going to use shockproof in the rear diff on your street-driven Evo, you need to add about 4oz. of the limited slip additive. I discussed this with a tech at Redline and that was what he suggested to do.

Guys, read what I posted. I never said I put shockproof in the diff. I put Redline 75/90 NS with the friction modifier in the diff. I put the shockproof in the transfer case.

Well thats the rub. You can run the 75w-90 without much need for the modifier.

-- OR --

You can run the NS and 'tune' the diff. Add more modifier until the chattering goes away.
