Check valve on 300+ fuel pumps
Guys
We have been running aeromotive 340s lphs for some time now, with a double pumper setup from Full Blown, good flow for 800 whps plus!
The First one, gets actived through the stock resistor circuit during start up, idle and cruising, then after wot at any rpm level it will have all the juice (voltage wise), and then the 2nd one will start pumping at 20 psis or so, so everything is nice, smooth and e85 compatible, but...
.. the tiny plastic check valves within the 340s pumps are not lasting that long, for the perfect street use, it may take a couple of extra seconds to start the engine.. we have installed new ones and they will live a few miles ok and then, we the holding pressure needed for a fast start (even it is an aem series 2) we then took them out of the tank and the check valve is way loosen inside,
does anyone know what is the best 300 lph plus fuel pump, (same size etc), that will have a long lasting check valve built in?
I really dont want to try deatchwearks and then full blown or aem just to find out that the inside check valve manufacturer is the same..
cheers

Of course we can put a 100 USD external check valve on the -8 line and live with it, but I just want to know all the possible feedback regarding these pumps generation and their inner check valves

i've wondered as well if all the 300+ lph pumps are made at the same factory. i'd be surprised if someone has an answer on the check-valve. i suggest cutting up one of each brand to see for youself. and then post the results.
