Engine start help

Hey guys need some help. 2006 evo full track car. When trying to start car, I don't get any engine turnover. Just starter turning over. Tried to jump thinking battery wasn't strong enough with no luck. Pull/roll start in 2nd gear and it fires immediately but even after letting it get hot, if I shut it off I can't refire without a push/pull start
Thanks for any advice
Sean

If the starter motor is running then the gear on the starter is not engaging the flywheel. In other words, broken starter. Fix or replace.

Yep if the starter is spinning but not engaging the flywheel, the solenoid on the starter motor is not doing it's job.

Yeah, disconnect the battery, unbolt the exhaust in front and at the first hanger - two wires and two bolts on the starter if I remember it correctly.

You said it, if u are replacing with an oem part you won't have to even disconnect the downpipe but the aftermarket ones are about inch longer and won't allow you to get the new one in if aftermarket
