What size rods to use for 4g64 block and 4g63 evo 8 head stock oem crank

Hey guys im seeing what size rods to use for my 2.4l build. I will be getting a built 4g63 head with 280 cams and built valves. It has an oem crank in it and currently h-beams but im switching to I-beams for high hp numbers. Let me know if you guys have any info on it. Also are they 4g63 rods or 4g64 rods?

If u have pistons allready , that will determin wht size rods u would wanna use , sounds like u have a 150 mm rod lenght , if your motor was a 2.4 lr then it would b 156 , ibwould take your old rod to a machine shop an have it measured , just from the way u asked your question an the info u gave us it doesnt look like u know to much about whats goin on in the motor , never fear we were all there . Good luck tho , more info pm me

Its depends on piston... You can use 150 or 156mm... 156 requires stroker pistons

The 4g64 and 63 rods are exactly the same, if you have the choice i highly recommend you go with the long rods so you have a bit more rpm and add longevity to your motor. I built mine a while ago and had to do everything from scratch.
