bushwaker tranny oils?

Just finished doing a bushwaker tranny ungrade.

What oils do I use in it.

I am in South Africa

We get redline oils (heavy and light shock)
Liqui moly oils
And oem oils (diaqueen)

Temp over here is very high. We can reach up to 45 degree

Car will mainly be used to street and drag
So need best oil to protect from those launches

Call your transmission builder and use their recommendation only.

I use Amsoil 75-90 Manual Transmission and Transaxle Oil GL-4 in my Bushwacker, I read it's a recommended fluid by many members on here, if not then your next best bet would be OEM.

It is a very good oil. Problem is it is meant for racing and frequent oil changes or serviced often. Here is what TRE recommends: http://www.teamrip.com/manual_transm...tion_info.html

For me, Amsoil. OEM has proven to break down between oil changes and come out darker and thinner than when it went in. Amsoil comes out exactly the same as it goes in. Therefore, I cannot recommend OEM to anyone, esp since you are seeing over 100 degrees F.

We don't get AMSOIL in South Africa. Basically my choices are redline heavy shock (my builder suggest this one)

Or oem diaqueen

Then run the Redline oil, just change it more often than suggested. Or you could order a big order from Amsoil and have it shipped to you. Wont be cheap, but at least you know it will be the best.

Do not put redline shock proof in the transmission. It's too slippery, and it's not designed to be used in transmissions synchronized, helical cut, manual transmissions. It is for racing dog boxes that get taken apart frequently, or differentials. If they have redline shock proof, they should redline MT90, run the MT90 or OEM diaqueen fluid.

Ok what do you guys think about running redline MT90. Or redline cocktail in main tranny. And redline heavy shock in the transfer case
