car died on highway today

so i was driving the car full boost in 4th car didnt make a noise or anything but the RPM's dropped to 0 so i pulled the car over the car does not start but it does crank. my coolant overflow hose pushed coolant all over the passenger side of the engine bay and there is oil in my coolant but no coolant in my oil. if this was a head gasket wich i thought at first it would be then wouldnt there also be coolant in my oil? what the hell could this be

Any noises? Knocking, shaking when trying to crank or smells like heavy gas when trying to start it? I'd try to break it down to fuel, mechanical or electrical. There could be the possibility of a major leak. But with little info it's very hard to diagnose. Keep updated op!

More than likely it is a blown headgasket an its barely starting to mix, check the plugs and do a leakdown test.

Not necessarily. I've had a headgasket failure with no coolant in the oil (verified by analysis from Blackstone).

For oil in coolant, means high pressure oil into low pressure coolant.

IF you have the water cooled oil cooler, check the sandwich plate, if over torqued, then it can crush the internal fins and cause the oil into water mix.

With the engine hitting cut off while in a pull, I would check the timing belt to see if it had snapped.

With coolant all over the place, you may have lifted the head and pushed compression into the water jacket.

Or the FIAV seal blew, allowing boost pressure to feed back into the over flow.

(A bud was doing a BLT, and noticed bubbles in the overflow bottle, Bad FIAV seal)

timing i'd check also, but that shouldn't throw coolant unless there's a hole somewhere

timing is easy, pull the cover off. if you're really lazy, pull the oil cap and shine a flashlight on the cam. have a friend crank the car and see if the cam spins
