I just boufht one last month and now want to sell it. It's a little too loud for me.... thats just me.... I like the rally style woosh sound more. I just took it off my car 10min ago an it is still in new condition. I will sell it for your price of $180 with adaptor.
Let me know.

Jae, the Greddy Type-S can be used as recirc or vent to atmosphere

Did you have yours VTA?? I can hardly hear my Greddy Type S BOV. When I have the windows rolled up I can not hear it at all. I am going to try to play with it again tonight, any suggestions??

No. Its not VTA but I have an open air filter instead of the factory air box. The valve is set up with the small spring out and the adjustment screw down to 8 threads coming out the top. It almost gives me a headache... very high pitched.

Damn really.....I guess my stock airbox really quiets that thing down. I do have a K&N drop in filter though.

For a evo would it be that much better to get a bypass valve instead of a bov.

typ s is a bypass valve, as was mentioned 4 posts up in the thread, and on countless other threads.

the open element filter makes the bov a whole lot louder. unless you're leaking boost, i dont see why you want a bov with the stock airbox. you wont hear much of a difference and you probably wont feel one either. if you like the sound, great, but get an open element filter for it. In fact i'd recommend you get an open filter 1st as they tend to be cheaper and will have a greater impact on the sound from the getgo. If you like the sound with the stock DV and the open filter, great, keep the dv. If you want the higher pitched whistle sound, keep the open filter and get the type s.

and myevo, if its too loud, try loosening the adjustment screw a bit, it makes it quiter and a bit shorter, more of a chirp than a prolonged wheezy whistle. Also definitely take out the smaller spring, as that will make it quieter also . you can have the adjustment spring all the way out without leaking boost according tot he testing done by silver surfer.
