walboro 400lph fuel pump help

Hey guys about to finish my 2.3 build using a PTE 6262 with I.D 2000cc injectors.

I got the walboro 400LPH e85 version.
Will it be able to get to 550 to 600whp.
And how reliable are these pumps.
Cars my daily and parts have to be ordered in my part of the world so want to avoid down time.

Thanks

It's been working great on a customers car. He did a how to write up.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...evo-8-9-a.html

He had a rewire set up for about 8 months and he changed it back to the stock wiring and I retuned it. Works without fail.

We got up to 505 HP on E85 with FIC 1250's @ 98% IDC according to EvoScan. So That's probably closer to 85%.

No fuel pressure logs.

This isn't any data, but MrFred seems to think it's good to 575 HP on stock wiring on E85, if I'm reading his post correctly.

No freaking way. That pump should be able to support close to 700whp on E85 with those injectors...easy. His setup is injector limited NOT pump limited. I ran the times in my signature years ago with a single Bosch 044 in a 3200lb car with E85 and 1600cc/m. That pump is SMALLER than a Walbro 400lph. A friends EVO VIII with a GT35R a few years ago was running out of pump right around 500-550whp. He had a 255lph with 1600cc's min on E85.

Relax killer, this is on stock pump wiring at probably 12.9 volts at WOT... if rewired to get at least 13.5 volts at WOT then I see it supporting around 600ish, for 700hp you are going to need a BAP if the pump will flow that much...

On stock wiring, the 416/450/F90000267 pump will go ~540-550 on E85 before AFR's go out of control in my experience.

Rewired, around 650-670whp is the limit depending on ethanol % i've found.

This information is pertinent, as the rail pressure determines the practical limit of the pump. Where the pump is the weak link in the chain, I recommend tuning a car just until the point whereby the WOT rail pressure begins to drop, and no further. With a -267 pump and the tiny stock wiring, I suspect that probably occurs around 500whp with E85.

Good info! Anyone have a link to how to log fuel pressure on the stock ecu via aftermarket fuel pressure sensor. I saw a post by MrFred that he's done this on his Evo IX. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7493018-post5.html

IDK how much more this pump can handle. I meant to say the injectors are good for around 575 HP.

Like Ted B said, I'll need to log fuel pressure to see when the pump falls off.

Christian, you can do it the crude way as Mrfred did before he had the programable 5V thingy for evoscan, and take a video of the fuel pressure gauge and yell the RPM in increments LOL
