problem with t4/t3 6262 please..!

problem with t4/t3 6262 please..!

i bougth a used 6262 from a friend ... the exhaust housing is a undivided .68 t4 ... i want to know if its better to boy a .63 t3 exhaust housing.. and what would be a dif .. i want 4000 or 5000 rpm spool.. i have a t4 header but i like to know how it will be better on a build 2.0... please HELP

Ummm....stay with that housing combo! T4/0.68 is fantastic!

It's a 62mm turbo on what I'm assuming is a 2.0L. It's not going to spool like a stock turbo. You can have a fantastic 5,000-9000rpm wideband however. Don't handicap the potential of a turbo like that by putting a small housing because of spool. If spool is an issue, get a smaller turbo. You want to pick the smallest turbo to do the job....anyway.

so you think that the t4 .68 would do a perfect job ?? i will have a 8,xxx Rpm limit i dont feel going to 9,000 because i would be afraid to blow the engine ! lol

I have a 3586 which is close to a 6262, I am running a .63 hotside, and I see 20psi at 4300 in 4th, and 4600 in 3rd.

At 20psi on e85 it is good for 600whp, on a built 2.0.

If anything buy a 0.58 A/R T4 if it doesn't spool well enough. The 58 is right between the 63 and 82 T3.

are you sure that the .58 t4 is more than a .63 t3 and less than a .82 t3 ??

so .68 t4 is a lot more than .82 t3 ? :S

Here is a picture of a .82 t3 a .58 t4 and a .63 t3 all side by side where you can see the nozzle area from left to right.

is like you said.. so the .58 wont choke the 6262 ?? i think im going to go with that housing

I think it will be good. If you want more power you can always step up to the 68 or 81 A/R. I don't think you will have an issue.

so if i use .68 or .81 i will have more power ?? i just dont want to have too much lag

You can possibly make more power at high boost. Under 600 I would say no difference between the bigger for power. You have to size for power goal. At 750whp or more the bigger ones will be better.

If you have a 68 already I would use it. If you don't like it then buy a different one.
