I've circled the hole in red (MS Paint FTW)



Just noticed this the other day, there's a small (approximately tic-tac sized) hole in my intake manifold. It hasn't caused any noticeable drivability issues so far. A guy I work with (mechanic, but no specific experience with Evo's) said it wasn't a problem because the hole is in the webbing of the manifold, but I wanted a second opinion from you guys.

Is this something that needs to be addressed? And If so, will slapping some JB Weld on it be sufficient, or will I need to actually weld it shut? Thanks in advance.

 

Looks like it is between the runners, so wouldn't think it would be an issue. Just do a boost leak test and see if any air comes out, if it does put some JB weld on there.

If you have any doubt with the car running spray a little carb or brake cleaner in the area and see if it changes RPM at all.
