I took a close look at my valves from my refreshed head. The head is mounted on the motor outside of the car and has not been run. One of the valves seems to be wet on the back side. I cant see a trail coming down the valve from guide. The valve seals were supposed to have been replaced when the head work was done. The motor has only had assembly lube in it so far. Take a look and tell me what y'all think.

It's probably just some residue or spatter left over from assembly. I wouldn't worry about it.

If I fire it up and the seal or valve guide is bad there would be obvious smoke right?

Also this is the only valve to look this way.

Yes.

If you haven't even put oil in the motor, or run the motor, there is now way for their to be oil coming through the valve seal.

When I put the cams in I used a ton of assembly lube. It looks like it could have run down the valve shaft from the top of the valve spring where I did put a dab. I put my fingers in the port and ran them around the valve stem. I found no oil between the base and the top. The base(back side of the valve) was wet with light green color. The top of the shaft that is in the port heading into the valve guide had a ring of green residue. I'm wondering if this is my green assembly lube.

I think I'm going to dry the valve portion in the port, remove the VC, and drop some oil right onto the valve stem end to see if it leaks passed the seal.

Agreed, and there doesn't look like enough there to cause any smoke.
