Possible head gasket leak or head lifting?

The other day, I got on it a little bit in 4th gear and it blew my lower radiator hose off. I have a 2.3l with a hta3586r turbo kit. I've had frost plugs blow out from the head lifting before so I'm hoping its not another situation like that. I just want input from you guys. Maybe there are things I can check out that can verify the issue, maybe not. I have not tried wot again since the hose blew off.

I filled it up with water and have been driving it for the past 2 days and the fluid seems good. It hasn't gone down and the plugs look good.

Any input or advice would be appreciated.

That is almost certainly caused from combustion getting into the cooling system. And, yes, that is usually from the head lifting a bit under boost. It doesn't sound like you blew the headgasket, but I can't say that for certain. One thing I would do is check the torque on the headstuds/bolts. Do you know if you have studs or bolts? And, do you know what torque they ought to be?

I would re check them. See if they are still at that number. I would be willing to bet you have a couple that have loosened up some. Or, a couple of them have stretched just enough to allow the head to lift just a tad bit. How old are the head studs? Either that or you have a blown headgasket.

you would have to be making a ton of power to lift the head with properly installed L19s, were you at a low MPH in 4th gear when u got on it? if so, this would cause the turbo to spin a huge volume of air which could lift your head.
