COP Question

hey guys I just picked up my Evo about a week ago and it has a Coil on plug set up. this may be a dumb question but the plate looks bad that is on it and the coils are ugly i was wondering if the make a cover to cover these up or if i have to buy a new plate. Ill try post a pic later but thanks for any help

Depending on the COP you have, the stock spark plug cover will or will not fit over it.

people have taken the stock cover and put extensions lifting it up some to fit the COP setups underneath it

You could just make a new plate for the coils. Then you don't have to cover them up. Unless the coils are a complete disaster.

I think its your intake manifold and everything affected by it that's making your engine bay look bad. I think If you just painted your COP plate, that should take care of that. Now onto that manifold.

those coils won't fit under the stock spark plug cover, you'll need to put spacers (1/4" maybe) in there

bolts are standard M6 bolts, maybe 20mm in length when using a 1/4" spacer, otherwise 12mm is long enough

Check out Drydenmotorsports.com they are a aus company but they make a pretty good looking cover

wow man alot of rust in there. I think the coils are the least of your worries

I cleaned the engine bay since and the only rust is on the metal fan shroud and the exhaust manifold, it's a clean car
