Intake Manifold & TB options

Got an Evo 5 with 2.3L forged engine, GT3076R turbo, HKS 264 cams. I'm about to tune the car with 27psi boost in mind (93oct). I'm searching for a good aftermarket intake manifold & a throttle body. Since I have a mid-sized turbo, I thought to narrow down my options to mid-sized manifolds. One other factor is that the car is mainly for track use, so I need to maximize the power gain of my setup while minimizing or maintaining acceptable turbo lag level.
The options I'm considering so far:
AMS F1
Magnus V5
JM FAB Race version
Skunk2 Pro Series (although advertised for a stock turbo setup)

Throttle Body:
Skunk2 68mm
Boomba 75mm

I'd appreciate your feedback

Unless you're planning on porting the Skunk2 STM style, then don't even think about it. Even STM don't recommend it without porting.

Personally I would stick with a stock ported intake manifold + 65mm TB just because the low-mid range would be far more impressive than any IM + TB combination you could think of, except maybe for the HKS Kansai but that would need custom intercooler piping and will end up costing you a lot more.

If you've set your mind with an aftermarket IM + TB, I would go with the AMS F1 with Boomba 75mm, but you'll lose a few horses at the low ~ mid yet gain a noticeable amount up top.

I have a MAP Rev2 and Mil.Spec 65mm that both have less than 5k miles on them and both look great. You can check my thread out if interested. If you buy both, I can work with you on price. There are no issues with either part, I just put my car back to stock...

i would stick with a ported stocker and 65mm throttle body aka ported and re-valved stocker.

remember people run 8's with a ported stock manifold and stock ported throttle body at 65mm. utilize what the evo offers, sometimes spending that extra 1000+ will net you a couple ponies but definitely a loss in spool and street ability.

just my 2 cents

I'm convinced that a ported stock mani is probably the best choice for my current setup but I went with the Magnus V5 & Boomba TB simply because I got a very good offer on both. One more reason is that I plan to install a larger turbo in the future.

With that IM and TB, I would get bigger Cams to wake up that current turbo.

i know curt brown takes a stock manifold and turns it into a 70mm ported manifold. Looks like he has some great results with it if your looking for something different.

I went with strictly modified in the Chicago area for my IM and TB porting. Eric did an amazing job. Plus he knows I'm ocd so he spent a ton of time on it lol.
