Valve springs for S2 cams

I currently have HKS 264 cams & I'm about to upgrade to GSC S2 cams. Most posts here recommend beehive valve springs with S2 cams but I have recently installed Brian Crower single valve kit, is it good enough for the S2 cams?

you can run the BC singles with the S2, but it really depends on the boost and RPM you will run. You should be ok to 8000RPM and probably 25ish PSI

Travis- with your beehive springs 5039 IIRC I am seeing that your site recommends max boost of 25psi and max RPM of 8200. Is that really the case or am I missing something here? Im currently using your springs with my HKS 272's but actually just picked up some S2's which Im planning on throwing in when I have some time.

If that is indeed the case then I am a little bummed out and I would like to run more boost than that and am currently running ~29#. Is that max boost at max RPM or just max boost in general?

I really wish I went with your springs and retainers but I just assumed the Beehive springs with stock retainers would be fine for S2 that arent being revved crazy high.

I was running Supertech duals with my S2s...I had her up to 8300-8400rpms less than a dozen times @ around 26-28psi.

With our 5039 kit you can run the S2 no problem at 29psi below 8000RPM.

The numbers on our website are 8200RPM and 25PSI. Yes that is 25psi AT 8200RPM.
I think the crower springs have less spring pressure than ours due to being a straight, round wire spring. The beehives have a bit more pressure when the valve is open because they are progressive rate.
Much more over what you are running Ti retainers are a good idea, we have seen the stock ones crack from the added spring pressure and higher lift/stress.

I plan to run 28-30 PSI, got 2.3L stroker, GT3076R turbo, is that too much for the BC springs & retainers?

Thanks for your clarification. I had a feeling that was the case but wanted to be sure. I just upped my rev limiter to 8200 and saw 8249 at my auto-x last weekend. This was in conjunction with my HKS cams.

Once I swap in the S2's I dont plan to up the boost but Im sure it will have some sort of effect on my boost curve. Im running a BBK Full and while I'd have to look through my logs for exact figures I believe Im hitting ~29#'s which is falling to around 24#'s by redline. Given that you are talking boost at that RPM then it sounds like I'm in the clear

I dont know exactly, but i feel like you would be ok to run that, especially on a stroker that wont rev as high. You would be at the limit, so any overrev or over boost may cause valve float.
