bull****, rev matching is made to relieve some stress that the transmission gets when you downshift. how did they prove it was the rev matching that killed your transmission?

Rev matching would not kill your tranny unless you did it without the clutch and inprecise (without the clutch).

Rev matching is fine. It doesn't hurt the engine, and it saves wear and tear on the tranny, unless you're not doing it right...in which case it will result in added wear to the tranny (for instance, when you're first learning).

I would try finding a smashed Evo in the junkyard and getting the tranny off of it.

rev matchins is when u blip the accelerator when u're shifting down so you "match the revs" as you shift into a lower gear. this is to relieve stress and i guess it can also be a more comfortable way of shifting down because u won't feel a bigger jolt as much

I would get a lawyer. Not warranting the clutch i can agree with. But not warranting the transmission LOL. I would get a lawyer bring him in the place and make a huge scene.

yea when youre downshifting it will take away that delay time when your clutch is trying to spin as fast as your flywheel basically getting it in gear faster without a jolt and making it have a smoother downshift.

i do it all the time.
