The reason I ask this question is I am putting my engine back together and noticed the main bearing girdle has some additional holes. The car did not have a windage tray when I pulled it apart and I have good reason to believe I am the first person to pull it apart. I know the 6 had one but does someone know if the 4 should have one.

 

The 4 didn't come with them.

 

Thanks. I wonder why they have the holes where it would bolt on but not bother to fit them till the EVO6? Looks like I might by an aftermarket one.

 

Yes, I wonder too. Especially since the 1 to 3 came with them. The first time I rebuilt one I thought that some idiot pulled this up and forgot to put the tray in, but I have since rebuilt a few others and none of them have had them in.

The V may have them, I'm not sure.
