Crank or cam sensor causing this problem??
My 03 threw the p0335, no crankshaft reference signal at efi ecu. My car starts and runs at a higher rpm than normal at cold start. After about 5 minutes of idling at a higher rpm it starts to misfire and dies out. It won't start up after a warm up. I read up that if it's the crank, my car won't start and I won't have fuel and spark at all. So that leads me to thinking it's not my crank sensor. Why would my car run fine at a cold start but a higher rpm but throw that code? Is it my cam sensor? It's a built motor on speed density.

It could be a bad sensor that has a thermal break. When it gets hot it stops working properly, cools down and works ok again. Happens alot with electronics.
