How to tell if it's a real FP Black turbo

First of all , I really don't want to bash this guy sale , in fact I am about to buy it . But damn , Fp turbo's usually have the green, red or black tag with the serial number on it , but this one does not have one . Everything seems legit , the guy posted a large amount of pictures but I am not the best to recognize such small details . The owners claims that he bought it like that from another user from here , with no tag . He said that i did not bother him , that he is sure he got a true FP Black .

Now , i don't want to pay 2K for something i can't guarantee it's 100% legit .

There are couple of close pictures with numbers engraved so let's see what you guys will found . Thank you very much and here is the ad :

It has the stamp fp housing as you can see, and has the 67mm turbine wheel shown in the pics. Thats price is good, if i had the money i would have bought it already.

If it's brand new there is no reason that a purchase receipt shouldn't have been included with the sale

only new turbos come with the tag. used turbos sent in for conversion will not have the colored tag. that exhaust housing is not new. that why it has the righting on it that it passed their standards for the conversion.

So based on what you are saying , this is most likely someone who send a IX turbo and it was converted to a FP turbo , but this il still a new unit . And how can I confirm this is a Black or Red .

EvowagonIX mentionned the 67mm turbine wheel , is this right ? I pretty newbie when it comes to specific turbo things likethat .

From what I read on their website in contact section , they won't give a **** about this , or it will take weeks to get a reply .

I think he's asking how one could identify if it's a Black or Red just by looking. Yes Black = 84 - 82, Red = 84 - 76, but how would you be able to tell the 6mm difference just by looking at a picture?

My turbo got converted from a IX turbo to a green and got the tag.

To OP best thing to do is ask for a receipt as that will guarantee authenticity/ call up fp about it
