eBay exhaust question

Hello,

Has anyone bought and used the below exhaust from eBay? Did it fit well? Sound ok?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-EVO-8-9-02-08-VIII-TURBO-BACK-EXHAUST-03-/181497948104?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a421ee7c8&vxp=mtr
Thanks!

I would suggest you go on Lancershop if you want a cheap exhaust, I have seen members run the 200 dollar full exhaust from them and it actually sounded pretty good, better than my 800 dollar works exhaust lol.

I have an eBay exhaust. Paid $300 shipped. First Racing F1. Won't get rid of it until the muffler eats itself apart from the inside. Been on the car over 3 years now, no leaks, no rusting, perfect fitment. Can't speak for others, but this one is amazing. Sadly I haven't seen them around anywhere in about two years

I got that exact same ebay exhaust from a guy here in Aus who owns a shop and couldn't sell it. I thought I'd take a shot at it, picked up the complete system for $300.
Put it on my VII, the fit was perfect. I was even able to keep both the underside braces with the new downpipe. Haven't had any issues with it. Sounds pretty good too, I'm running the decat pipe and its actually not too loud on idle but it really roars at the top end. A full TBE with perfect fitment and good sound for $300, I'm more than happy with it.

The Lancershop exhaust posted, does it shoot straight out the back of the car, or angled?

Honestly, if you're looking at an Ebay exhaust then you that one should be fine for your needs. I would avoid Lancershop mainly because of their outrageous shipping prices.. I was going to order $3000 worth of parts from Lancershop after my accident a couple years ago and they wanted to charge me an additional $1200 just to ship the stuff and wouldn't budge on that at all..

Even if shipping is $100 on the Lancershop exhaust, you are still getting a complete exhaust shipped to your door for $300

Nothing wrong with an eBay exhaust. Piping is piping. I got one for $80 shipped back in the day and it worked great for me.

Thanks everyone. We'll probably go with one of the eBay kits.

Personally I'd go with the BR exhaust for around $470.

If eBay exhaust is what you're set on (it was my first exhaust..) go for it. Just be aware fitment and sound may not be as you'd like. I grew tired of the angled exhaust tip IMO.

Can anyone vouch for the $200 exhaust from Lancershop?

The $470 exhaust from Buschur is only cat-back.

Valid point. Thinking it through....I actually still have the eBay downpipe on my car with the rest of the exhaust BR.

I bought the full turbo back 3 inch exhaust from ebay a few years back with no issues. It was $150 shipped. I got an apexi n1 muffler and welded it on. (got the muffler on a trade). Either way, the muffler that came with it sounded just like the n1 but I wanted a different look.
