Question Need advice on boost leak

I have a boost leak, noticeable at above 15psi it makes the same sound as when an intercooler pipe has popped out of the coupler. That fuh duh duh duh sound.

I inspected all intercooler pipes/couplers no visible problem. I attached boost leak tester to turbo inlet and pressurized the system. The hissing comes from the intake manifold in the back near the throttle body. The throttle body shaft seals don't seem to be leaking because when I move the throttle body plate the sound of the hissing does not change. I checked the EGR valve and both vacuum hoses are on.

My thought is that I have a larger leak somewhere noticeable at high PSI but I can't pressurize the system enough to find it because I have a small leak off the intake manifold. I can't pinpoint the hissing sound it is obviously off the intake manifold but it's hard to tell where.

Any advice?

Pour 2 cap fulls of detergent into a spray bottle and add a cup of water to it

Pressureize the system and spray, you'll find it

you should also fix that leak on the intake manifold, then it would be easier to pressurize the system... why just fix the huge leak, fix the small leak too

Could be throttle Body to intake manifold gasket, BISS screw, or fuel injector seals. Use the soapy water technique to find those hard to see areas.

Do you have an 8 or 9? There's an extra O-ring seal to replace on the backside of the 8 throttle body.

Sounds like it may be the vacuum line for the egr. Those seem to pop off. I had that, I ended up replacing with all new oem vacuum line and ziptied every one back there.
