So does this mean that the buschur custom pistons don't need boring/honing? I sent an e-mail to them regarding this... If it does make life easier... ill probably go with these pistons then... thanks guys

You still need a .020 (0,5mm) rebore but you should do that anyway when you fit new pistons.

So you guys know we have custom pistons sets from JE on our shelf. We have had them for quite some time now. The pistons sets, specifically for the EVO8, are $525. This includes the rings, pins, pin fitting, retainers and the pistons.

I also have a custom order being made as we speak for those of you that want to install the rods/pisons in the car without pulling the engine. With the engines being so new and so many people wanting to build them I am having pistons built with the proper clearance to just drop them in the car. The 4g63 is one of the slowest wearing engines I have ever seen. The cylinders in even a 150,000 mile car have very little wear if they were taken care of.

This stock replacement forged piston will be a drop in along with the rods.

The block has a stamping on the oil pan rail. For all of you trying to do this stuff yourself make sure you pay attention to it. The rods/crank use a special bearing.

I am not going to elaborate anymore on the bearings/rods. I am business to sell parts and build engines. Helping everyone source the parts elsewhere does us no good.

I'm not being a dick, just keeping it real.

Make sure you check the pan rail stampings.
