Stock Evo 9 trans question
For those of you that have made 1/4 mile passes on the stock IX trans, is it possible to finish in 4th gear? When i went to the track earlier this year i could not finish in 4th, i had to go in 5th which obviously slows the ET down quite a bit. I was planning on rebuilding my trans soon anyways (5th gear synchro is shot) and was going to do an Evo 8 4th and 5th gear just so i have that longer 4th gear for the 1/4 mile. those of you that have rebuilt your 9 tranny, what gears/final drive did you go with?

This might help you out buddy and do a Evo VIII 3rd and 4th gear.

Do you finish in 5th? Just curious, what does your 4th gear top out at with that 6 speed? My 4th gear seems to top out at around 114 And my car traps roughly 120ish in the 1/4 so that doesnt work out too well haha
