HKS 264 and 272 mix setup

Here is my set-up with HKS's 264i and 272e Cams.
Fidanza Cam Gears, both set very negative.
The little Cams can hold the power all the way past Redline, . And, also notice the mid power, .
264i/272e with Cam Gears. Good choice.
They have allways made power for me, even on stock 9.8 Turbo, .
Tuning, also very important, as some have mention.

Hi bro,
I have the same cams with Vishnu adjustable cam gears....can you please advice me with thier settings...I have them at -6i/-1e which somehow not running fast and my torque is very low

Hi,
You gained lots of torque by only retarding both in and ex by 3... I would love to try that with my 264/272 cams.
what if the car didnt start after retarding both in,ex by 3.....what does it indicate to

The problem with jumpstarting these older threads is that many of the members who posted on it have since moved on to other pastures. This may have happened with "puckadog" who may not ever answer your question as he hasn't posted on these forums for over a year. He's probably driving a Skoda. God bless him.
Try a -2 intake/-3 exhaust setting on those 264/272 cams. This is close to the Vishnu setting of -3/-3 but, with a slightly more advanced intake opening. It will still idle smooth and have good topend but should improve midrange torque slightly. Your current -6 setting on the intake cam is way too retarded which results in a lack of midrange torque and response.
Try a -2 intake/-3 exhaust setting on those 264/272 cams. This is close to the Vishnu setting of -3/-3 but, with a slightly more advanced intake opening. It will still idle smooth and have good topend but should improve midrange torque slightly. Your current -6 setting on the intake cam is way too retarded which results in a lack of midrange torque and response.

Thanks alot for the advice bro, but if i am not wronge that I have tried -2i/-3e but the car didnt start but this doesnt meen I should not try it again.
Hope that I get my car power back because its so week that a stock evo8 catchs up. Tuning is recomended after the cams settins right!!!

1 tooth Advance on Intake and 0 on Exh +1/0???
