External Wastegate flutter on boost
Hey there,
I see many videos on youtube of wastegate flutter when on boost. I know it can sometimes be compressor surge which is really bad, but are there other reasons for this flutter? Is it related to the boost controller, tune, or wastegate itself?

If you are running electronically controlled boost, that is simply how the actuator opens the gate. But its definitely just the gate.

my pierburg does it, and both my friends that use Road Race Engineering's 3 port ebcs do it...

My Evo has a Gizzmo IBC-R Boost controller which uses a MAC solenoid and it does not make the sound. However there are certain videos on youtube with the same EBC that do it.. Confusing..
