Stm balance shaft inspection hole breather fitting

This "easy" mod has been a complete nightmare. I took out radiator, unbolted manifold to get enough room to take the oem balance shaft bolt out. Finally got it out after 2 hours or so. Prep my hose, my Megan o2 housing is blocking the path. I switch a straight fitting with a 90 degree fitting, still no go. I even tried just connecting the hose straight to the bolt and still couldn't get it in. I hear a lot of people on here did this mod, what exactly did you do to get this to work? FP Black turbo, so it isn't a front face or anything like that. Just stock location everything pretty much. I do have the balance shaft delete kit so should be "simple" as screw it in, connect an fitting and run it to catch can.

It is really close to a stock framed turbo. I ended up using a low profile fitting but it was still a huge PIA just to get the fitting on the adapter coming off of the block.
I took the turbo out and then out and then put everything on but it had to be orientated just perfectly not to touch anything.

Think I ended up using a 45 due to the angle but honestly I don't remember.

Thanks, anyone else? I don't want to have to purchase a 90 and 45 at 20.00 a pop.

When I was still on a bottom mount turbo kit, I was going to use a -6an banjo fitting with a steel line as I was having the same clearance issue.

Extra crank case ventilation.

A banjo would limit the flow but is definitely a lower profile.

oooh. interesting, except it seems to not work with stock-framed turbos. i would like to keep pressure out of the crank case, though. assuming this works better than venting the valve cover?

It does work but it is a real PIA to get the fitting on it once it is in the block and turbo in place. I guess each situation is different but it takes a bit of messing with and trying different fittings.

With my new setup I am not using it. I think it may push a decent amount of oil out of it. But it definitely adds block ventilation.

I'm getting a little closer. From reading it's either 120° or 150° fitting. It would have been so easy if they added this to their kit.

I'm using it with a stock location Borg Warner and it's also very close but I didn't have any issues putting it on.

Do you remember what angle fitting you used? That's my issue

I'm using the 90* that came with it and have it pointing down
