Use caution when attempting to use glue or a mechanical kluge of some kind. A leak tight "juryrigged" connection may not withstand an accident. You are fooling with volatile fuel and I recommend you park it until you get an OEM part.

Good point, and definitly need to be taken into account when doing anything near fuel.

However, the fact that he broke it so easily makes me believe that a tougher brass joint can be made. A solid brass joint held on by bolts and some JB weld will be quite strong.

Still, I'm not saying that is a sure fire way, just a suggestion.

update: my quick fix with puddy worked for all this time but the problem came back. Anyone know if they carry this nipple yet?

You cant buy that peice sperate. You have to buy the whole housing. I would do it....you dont want to risk a vehicle fire...especially in your garage/house.
