Oversize thrust washer available????
Been searching around and I can't find anything but standard size thrust washers.
I have a 4g63 block that needs the thrust surface machined down to clean it up. I have a large mill and can do the machining, but I can't find a larger thrust washer to go back in the block. This will be a **** shame if I can't use this 63 block due to this.
Anyone know where to get a thicker set?

I've never heard of one, especially in the direction your talking about (oversized towards the block). Maybe you can make a shim for however much material you take off?

I know other motors use different sized thrust washers---but its been a long time since I had to deal with that issue-- Find them before you machine anything. I have seen them as part of the main center bearing and separate-- having someone machine some, maybe but I would think they would be made of some kind of babbit material

I have run motors using .003 shim behind the factory thrust. no issues. there are thicker thrusts available. but they are only .001 and .002 (I think) .. the shim cant go anywhere. I have seen the blocks apart after use. I wouldnt hesitate to run thicker shim as needed. these were just factory cranks that measured .005 end play and I wanted to tighten up to .002
