You bumped a five year old thread and the person you asked hasn't been on the forum since 2017.

Oh okay my bad just wanted to know if he had the chance to do it again would he or just take to shop as I’m also considering doing it at home if it’s worth it or not, also would you think the act would hold upto max hp of 550whp and 400wtq as I’m considering it for my daily driver cheers in advance, have been trying to find a good twin plate but I’m just lost atm.

Depends how much you value time and money. If you make a good living and value time, pay to have it done.

HDSS will work with 550whp/400wtq. Unless you launch every stop light.

It's not that hard of a job. Download the factory service manual from taktrix or EvoScan (I forget which). Also Google a how-to. There are a few out there that are really good.
make you sure you have the recommended tools. Take your time. An engine hoist helps a ton, but not necessary. I've literally bench pressed the trans on, from a floor jack, out of frustration, so it can be done that way too.
The most frustrating part could be the Monoloc. Be careful it doesn't pop off during install, otherwise you gotta start over.

A engine support bar and transmission jack go a long way when doing this yourself

or use a strong tie down strap with your strut tower brace to lift tranny on install.

I always just cherry picker the trans out/in. Everything is so much better when you arent fighting the weight.

Also, use a strap to pull the motor forward to whatever you can strap to, it will save you a ton of fighting with the trans and cross member.

I used to use a cherry picker but always hated fighting with the legs under the car.
