Best way to protect from downpipe heat?

I got a megan downpipe and I've noticed my oil temps are much higher. What is a good way to protect the oil pan from the heat?

I have tried to do some searching and ready but a lot of people say that wrapping the downpipe isn't good for the downpipe or it won't last. Is there a shield I could buy? Is there something to put on the oil pan that will last? Thanks for any thoughts

1 - Coat Downpipe

2 - Wrap Downpipe

3 - Heat reflective tape on oil pan

Definitely coated. I wouldn't wrap it in my opinion. If anything tape the oil pan with gold reflective heat tape. That's why I did on my Evo IX track car.

Yup. Wrap it proper. Go overboard with stainless zipties!

Added an adhesive backed heatshield to the oil pan today, will be interested to see how much it helps. I'll be wrapping the downpipe as well soon and I'll update results.

Wrap

I wrapped O2 housing ,and down pipe today , then sprayed with a coating overtop. I then added gold foil tape to oil pan. Hope it helps with heat in engine bay.

304 stainless steel is actually a pretty poor thermal conductor compared to the material used for the OEM exhaust system. Even though aftermarket exhausts might have a bit thinner wall than stock, they don't transmit that much more heat to the local environment. Exhaust wrap will result in way less heat transmission than stock.

Coated mine. Been under car a few times after getting car nice and hot and pretty big difference between uncoated HFC/CB and coated DP. True test would be to attach thermocouple on there or get temp gun and/or log oil temps with a couple setups.
