evo8 bogging while cruising
My evo8 is bone stock. While cruising down the highway it will bog, you let off the gas and you can mash the pedal down and go. But once it bogs you can stomp on the gas and it will not really speed up much.
Any ideas where to start?

It runs great, then when you keep the throttle in one spot it feels like a gush of wind just slowed the car down, if you get that feeling and you mash the gas the car will not accelerate, if you let off the throttle and get back on it, their are no problems.
I have no problem revving the car out to the rev limiter, it only acts up while cruising at a constant speed.

I was thinking TPS at first. I didn't have the little retaining clip on mine and it jarred loose. It caused a CEL to appear though. When he said he gives it gas and gets no acceleration that's what it seemed like.
How long since you've changed your plugs? I guess it could be really bad misfire.
Shouldn't be a boost leak if he can get on it and not have a problem at some times and it only happens while cruising.

Did you change the plugs less than 1k ago because of the problem or change them and then get the problem? Might be plug wires/coils if you have been having the problem and just changed the plugs to try to fix it. Switch your could with your friends.

The car has had the light on since I bought it 4 months ago. I did the plugs as a tune up, im pretty sure it had the problem when I drove the car home. I can swap out the coils and see if that will fix it. I could also do a p0300 code turn off in the ecu
