Fuel pump rewired questions

I rewired my dw320 lph pump to get the most voltage using a relay. Now I'm having trouble with my aeromotive regular getting it below 50psi base pressure.

Is my regular spring bad?

I did this a month or so back. you have to take out the fuel pump assembly and drill out the siphon tube using a 9/64" drill bit.

Disconnect the siphon tube and drill it out. I circled the part in red that needs to be drilled in the picture attached
