Yeah. I installed it a while back. Old thread back from the dead. It's pretty damn loud but sounds great when you line up with an opponent on the highway and open that thing up at a 60mph roll and hit the gas. The motor didn't last long and I had to take it off. It was stuck open. I plan on getting a new motor and putting it back on in the spring.

What was your exhaust setup? How did the power feel? open vs closed?

ultimate sleeper mod.

Not so much on evo's.

I was going to actually get that, but there are cons to this thing, like little headaches.

But let us know what your power gain is with this thing. I would like to find out.

My setup was Buschurs 3" turbo back. Now I've got the Helix turbo back. I would have to get it on a dyno to realy see the difference. I suppose you could feel a diference on top end when opened. Turbo spools a bit quicker. As soon as I put it back on I will dyno it open vs. closed. Sure is nice to have an AWD dyno 10 miles away. (props to MAC Autosport)

My friend also told me about this and Apexi does make one also. but only the control valve part which is manual that you can hook up to the(suggestion) cigarette lighter location with a push/pull type mechanism. It might be better if its manual, that way you could leave it half way open and adjust the loudness =) j/k
I didnt want to go this path because I like how a modified exhaust sounds. IMO I think a open pipe will be too loud and a stock pipe too quite. Luckily cops over here arent that strict on exhaust.

I'm currently looking into this route for my exhaust mods. I really like the quietness at times, and at other times, I need to let it rip. How is the reliability of this, since one guy above mentioned that his cutout motor died on him. Also, can you wire the wiring through the firewall, like wiring for an amp, or is it a must that you gotta drill a hole into your car?

Here is another alternative. You won't have to worry about the motor burning out on you.

I think Malibu Jack is using it. PM him about it. I had asked him a question about exhaust and he mentioned he was using it.

Man i was told from domestic guys that electronic cutouts don't work for very long.

My question with this. Is do you get boost creep and how bad would this throw off a tune if you tuned with it open then closed it or visa versa
