He replied with any modifications of the stock exhaust is illegal. I replied with I thought the law changed and is now limited to 95dB. His exact words were I haven't heard of such a thing.... Wonder why they target Imports over domestic vehicles

I don't see all these loud @$$ hill billy chevy trucks getting pulled over for like 1/4 of the exhaust any of our cars have on them. And i've never been stopped in my chevelle which would set the alram off on any car for a block way

If you pay cash at RRE they hook it up...

$246 OTD LABOR was $50 but they didnt charge....................

Thats with 2 aluminized flanges and one stainless flange for the catback...

Labor was 50 bucks but they didnt charge
No tax also with cash......

Cat was 200
two 3 inch aluminized steel flanges $24
one stainless 3 inch $22 for catback.......original one was warped..long story...

So it would probably be $224 fo anyone paying cash OTD... but this is not certain...the prices should be the same for everyone but you never know...Ive been going there awhile

awesome shop!!

Hmm, your going to have to put on cats for your lawnmowers or any two cycle engine, which puts out more pollution than my catless EVO. Heck EVERY single airplane puts out way more cfc's. My Supra without a cat can still pass a sniffer test. I would'nt think a lil EVO would be much worse.

it's the old, everybody else is doing it so a little bit more isn't going to hurt argument.

your little bit of polution, plus his little bit adds up

also the planes put the stuff high up.. not at your neighborhood breathing level

saw the difference between a test pipe and a 3inch high flow cat on a dyno today...about 15whp difference. my mods were forge bov, intake, full exhaust, utec. and i made 318.56. now the same mods plus a 3inch high flow cat, hks 272's, fuel pump, injectors, and stock bov=1more hp but with alot more midrange. the car will be making more than that once the bov is changed and the cat is taken out. but it really shwos how much restriction is happening just with that little cat.

We use to take a large size tubing, say 3.5 and split it so that you can open it up around the test pipe.. Weld it at both ends on to the test pipe or clamp it w/ exhaust clamps...Drill a hole in the back bottom first so that if water gets in it can get out...The top is open for the most part but were you look from under the car it looks like a cat b/c it has that fat pipe look like most cats have....

Worked great on my t/a and my trucks for inspection purposes..
