motor problems... cams or cam sensor.??

I recently had a good shop do a motor swap for my 2003 Evo. Upon getting my car back i noticed that i could only go up to 5500 RPM through each gear. I had my car tuned by a very reputable tuner. When i had the car tuned i had in the HKS cams. Now that the car had a complete motor swap I left the stock cams in along with the same tune and bolt ons. I have an AEM EMS running my system. Can anyone relate to this issue.? Could it be because my AEM EMS is reading the stock cams and is managing it differently or could it be a bad cam sensor.?

So you were previously tuned for upgraded cams and now you are using that same exact tune but no longer have upgraded cams?

Someone else may correct me, but pretty sure you need to get a retune asap, and probably stay away from redline and boost until you do.

Yea, I drove it and no issues until i hit 5500rpm. So, i have it in storage and will just have to buy the cams and wait to get it retuned. appreciate the insight
