ACD/AYC Conversion?

ACD/AYC Conversion?
Sup fellas,
I was wondering if it would be possible to do a ACD/AYC conversion on a USDM EVO8. Obviously the center diff would have to be replaced and a control unit would have to be installed, but what else? How much would it cost (roughly)? It would be real neat if a company came out with a reasonably priced conversion kit. Thanks for the input!

AWD ecu, fuse, wiring loom, sensor tie-ins, ACD via transfer case transplant, ACD sensors, rewiring your existing wheel speed/ g-sensors to said ecu (& then working out how the ABS is gonna work after that), Hydraulic line to ACD unit, Hydraulic pump assembly/pressure switch + resovoir bottle & hydraulic hoses to the AYC rear diff. Lastly.... AYC diff itself.
The AYC diff is larger/longer so you may need a new propshaft as well.
So much....... for so little .... not worth it.
The US Evo's passive driveline is more reliable. Less maintenance too!

I have ACD/AYC and I'm actually thinking of replacing it with an aftermarket Cusco LSD.
IMHO ACD/AYC does work wonders but I'm now curious what an aftermarket unit can do to improve my lap times and/or rear-drive bias (i.e. fun).

I know Claudis and a lot of other Euro guys had lots of negative stuff to say about the AYC. He had a TME6 and was always complaining about how bad the AYC was and how it made the car ridiculously hard to drive. I think he ended up taking his AYC out and replaced it with just a normal LSD (like ours).
Given his knowledge/experience with the Evo's, I'd trust his judgment. ACD on the other hand, that might be pretty useful in the rain or on the gravel..
