Anyone using a certain type on their 2.4L built Evo now?

Let me get your spec and info.

I have used the CP 9.5:1 before and also the Manley 9.0:1 platinum series on my 4g64 already. But just wanted to see what people have used on their 2.4L Evo and see how long it lasted on them. And wanted to know what kind of hp/tq they get with their setup.
Talking to my machine shop guy, he suggested to me to go lower than 9.5:1 for pump gas. While I'm going to used e85 too but I will mostly drive on pump gas because most state doesn't have e85. I go out of town a lot and I want to take my baby Evo with me. Why put all these money in it and let it park in the garage , right!?!?!
Anyway, I was making good power around 508hp to 610hp on pump gas with the cp piston and the Manley platinum series piston. Both making different power because I have used different camshaft on each. One is GSC s3 and the other is GSC r2. With the GSC r2, I have used the wrong springs for it. I needed a springs that have lift higher than 12mm but I was using the BC springs and retainer. BC only have a 11.3 lift or somewhere closed to that. I don't really remember.
So now I just bought a new 4g64 block and new GSC 5041 beehive spring and titanium retainers, I think it should be good. Also I'm using a 6466 for all my setup.
So I will be posting up for sales my used set of CP piston with upgrade never used wrist pin that I just bought. And also sells my old 4g64 block as well.
But this time, I also bought the fluidamper and the Manley forge 100mm crank as well.

So now that everything is good as new , I wanted to make sure and do some research on which type of piston everyone is using and how great it work for them.

Evos are money eating cars. One wrong parts could be another engine built and a lot more money to put in it. I could of buy me a used GTR by now with all my money builting the car. But I love evos so I'm keeping it for now.

Thanks everyone for your knowledge and advice.

Im running the r2 cams and the same springs as you have there a bit noisy fyi but the difference in power is crazy. Im waiting to get retuned by tscomp now with the new cams. car made 381whp @21psi on 93 after its retuned Im sure it will hit 400 at the same boost level. Its a 4g64 9.897:1 stock head with cams etc.

Those are full round pistons. For the op's power goals, he needs to be using an FSR style piston. They handle the load better without distorting and cracking.

Fsr just cuts off one side of the skirt . ill stick with normal pistons thanks. Ross pistons will take anything you can throw at them.

I just realized you bought 156mm rods.... So unless you use a piston with a 28mm height (over 29mm and the pistons will be poping out the top of the block) it wont work.

Because I have the Manley 156mm rods and the Manley 100mm crank
those will work and will give you

CR = 8.731 | Displacement = 2378 cc
Piston to Deck Clearance = 0.3 mm

This is adding in a 1.55mm head gasket . CR maybe a bit higher if your head has been decked.

No, the design around the pin boss is completely different. And they aren't prone to cracking like full rounds.

final CR has to be calculated at build... that calculator you are using has some different numbers than is the norm..
