Final Verdict on GReddy Profec B SPec II?

Alright guys, I have been searching and reading alot on this EBC. I know that there were some defective units, something with a bad diode? From what I read on here, the verdict seems to be split pretty evenly. Now that some time has gone by, whats the consensus on this EBC? Thanks all.

A large majority who owned one have since sold it and used a different unit.

I'm replacing mine with a TurboSmart E-Boost and sending it back to the manufacturer.

I have that unit and it runs like a champ. I think the problems that poeple where having was due to improper tuning. It took me 3 days to get mine right, and now that it is set up it works great. It's not "plug and play", and I don't have the spiking problems that I had with the MBC.

Had AMS install mine and they threw a quick tune on it and it holds 19 like a champ. no problems whatsoever, only thing i dont like is that i have to press a button to select which setting (lo-hi) when i start the car, other wise its in a "safe" mode or something.

I had the greddy profec b spec II and it was not bad- for me it just was not what i was looking for. i wanted to set the bost and leave it . i was unable to achieve that with the profec- everytime i got in the car it seemed like i was adjusting the thing. i now use a mbc and it does what i want, steady boost and no worries. i would not say that the profec is junk, just not my choice
