What do I do NEXT?

Hi evoM people!

I have some questions about my current setup and what it COULD possibly make.

So I have a built 2.0 non-mivec with 8.8 CR and kelford 272 cams. The turbo is a BBK Full with ID1000 injectors and a 255 fuel pump. The car made 400 awhp on 93 octane running 25psi.

I'm curious what kind of I could make by running a little more boost and switching to e85, what injectors I would need, what fuel pump, etc.

I plan to have dual maps for 93 and e85 but i'm not sure what my peak capabilities are. I want to eventually get above 500 awhp but I might need to upgrade this turbo to do that. I don't plan to rev this car past 7500. Probably 7000 to be safe.

Let me know if I left anything important out.

Thanks!

Perhaps upgrading to a walbro 450 E85 pump, rewired, upgrade feed & return.

As for injectors, you might want to go with something that you won't have to worry about upgrading later on if you decide to go with a bigger turbo in the future. I tried the FIC1650 and the driveability on them is really nice for such big injectors. They make me want to switch from my 2150

I thought about 1450's but I might look for some 1650's. And the walbro a450 is a nice pump for sure. I have never rewired one before though. Do you think the feed and return upgrades will be necessary for such a modest power goal?

You do not need feed and return upgrades, even on e85. I run an fp red on e85. 511whp on mustang dyno. Stock feed and return. No issues. Double 255 though.

Does anybody know how much power the BBK full is good for on e85?

You can push them to 480-500ish. Depends on the supporting parts.

That's basically what my goals are anyway. Thank you!

Do you think FIC 1450cc low z injectors will be enough on e85 for those goals? I'm pretty sure they will be again, it's my first evo.

You'd still need a bigger pump? Will you run a double pumper or something like a walbro 450?

I'd run a 450 simply because it's easier and cheaper. The double pump hanger is what throws the cost above what i want to spend, plus a double 255 is overkill. Hell the 450 is overkill but doesn't hurt to have a little extra.

And to answer your question seems like the 1450cc injectors should be enough on E85 supporting about 482whp with 80% duty cycle.

Yea i've seen that calculator but according to real world tests it's not always accurate. But I think 1450's should be fine like you said. I just wanted some people who are currently using them to chime in.

1450's will be plenty for 480-500 hp. I'm running them with a dual voltage rewired 450 pump. Made 540 hp with Idc around 76% iirc.

That's a perfect answer! Thank you!
