Um, did you check the battery and starter? If your gauges/radio turns on the battery is fine.
Does the start "click" one time when you turn the key, that would mean it's half working and might just need a few good hits with a wrench/hammer (not joking, this works).
If none of the above work, check the wiring to the starter and make sure it's properly getting power and ground connection. Plenty of troubleshooting guides out there, and a great way to gain knowledge by working on your own car.

But anyways, you say when you jump start the car it runs and then dies immediately after when you un-hook it? I would go ahead and say your alternator is shot and isn't making any power. So once you detach the other car you have no power source for sparks. You're batter is probably dead which is why you can't start and have no dash lights. I would jump start the car and leave it hooked up, then use a voltage meter to see if you get anything out of the alternator.
Even if the car dies a few seconds after starting, you'll see voltage the instant you start cranking the car.

I'm not sure if you're just frustrated with the car or what, but you might want to take it down a notch before it gets heated in here. You have to realize that alot of people come here with vague *** questions and then never show up for any of the repsonses, so people don't really like it.

I don't care if he drives a ralliart or base model or a honda civic. He's a long time member and you should show some respect.
Go ahead and say whatever you want, but don't come here to an evo forum thinking you're better than everyone who doesn't own an evo when you can't even use your own problem solving skills to fix your car. You're just trying to get us to solve your problems for you so you can sell that poor evo to some guy who doesn't know he's getting a lemon. Figure it out on your own.
