Hello from Vancouver
Good evening guys.
I am new to this forum.
I drive a 1998 EVO V GSR in white
The car has been great for a week until 10+ pulls with my buddies S5(yes the evo is faster)
Then suddenly the oil temp spiked to 140C and the car shut down.
After catching a little bit on fire and a glowing turbo the car been towed home.
Lost about 3litres of oil, after putting some new oil in the car and changing the plugs, car somewhat starts but knocks.
The issue is we could find the oil leak in the back of the engine.
Any help would be appriciated.

Are there any good Vancouver shops that you would trust with your evo?
If not, you could tow the car down to English Racing (in WA state) and have them sort it out. https://englishracing.net/
If you, or a friend, have a truck just rent a u-haul auto trailer and drive it down. Customs can be a bit of a sticking point, so call ahead and let them know what you are doing (and when you plan on doing it) and make sure you have whatever paperwork you need with you when you bring it down.

Thank you everyone for the replies.
There is not much tuning shops like ams or English Racing in Vancouver.
So here is a little update.
The car still starts, knocks pretty bad though.
Spend another hour trying to find the leak with no luck.
Changed the plugs for the heck of it,old HKS M40G were in some pretty bad shape, one of them was chipped on the end.
Found some good news though, the car has Ohlins coilvers and authentic exhaust.
Here the question guys, someone locally is selling a usdm evo 8 block for 800$.
Is that something I can use with the evo 5 ecu?

I wouldn't be driving the car if your oil light came on. You should tow the car to Racing Greed, they are a great shop. Myself and many other evo/dsm/4G63 guys have been going there for years with great results. They know what they are doing and you'll be in good hands. Many evos get tuned there both JDM and US market.
